The Beginning of Mopar Ron's Race Truck....
![]()
This is a series of pictures depicting the build of a race truck from scratch. The builder is
none other than my good friend "Mopar Ron" Podsiadly. First Ron starts with a 1940 Dodge
Truck without a bed. (By the way Ron is building this truck for himself... to race) Page Updated 7/13/09
Next.... cut & modify the frame

Get a set of Ladder Bars

Install a Dana 60 and the Ladder Bars....

Set the body back on the frame....

Now chop the top and lengthen the body to fit Ron's stealth physical size

Chopped Top, extended body.... a perfect custom fit for Ron....

Fabricate and install a roll cage.....

Time to fit the '41 Willys front fenders & hood to the '40 Dodge body....

Now the tough part...fitting the Willys Hood to the body, etc....
Notice how Ron slices the hood to make the hood match the body lines !!

Here are a few shots showing the construction of a hood scoop out of scrap metal...

Lots more to be done..... Including a bed
Stay Tuned for more pictures as the project continues !
EVENTUALLY THE TRUCK SHOULD LOOK SOMETHING LIKE THIS :
